Estate Agents Tip: 100% Commission Real Estate Broker MY REAL EXPERIENCE WORKING AT ONE

100% commission real estate brokers and brokerages exist. Everyone thinks that the higher the commission, the better opportunity it is. Some people have flat fee listing complaints with their agents and some agents are very happy being with flat fee real estate companies. In this video, I share my experiences from when I worked at a flat fee brokerage or 100% commission real estate brokerage. I tell you what the real estate office was like, what the fees were like, how the real estate splits worked, and also why I left the company and went to another real estate brokerage.

  1. Hi there, new subscriber here and I have binged at least 12 videos already lol Great content for newcomers to the real estate business (especially in the dallas area) but I do have a question. Is there ever a video where you specifically list out the average split percentages that would be the goal to look for if you did not want an environment like the one you mentioned in this video? Another video you mentioned 70% split – is it safe to say that is the average in Dallas?

  2. I’ve been with Coldwell Banker for 3 months. I’ve had 3 transactions! But the amount of money their taking isn’t worth it. Moving to a flat fee broker next month after my last transaction closes. Thanks for this video!

  3. Thanks Chastin,

I’m newly licensed and was decided between a bigger office like C21 and KW. I’m a fast learning but believe in need to start off in a big brokerage environment to get myself going in the biz.

  4. DImitri Abraham- Abraham Legacy Realty- I’ve been licensed for almost 2 years practicing for a couple months and tbh, the first place I went to was 100%, because it was family owned. We have trainings almost every week, it’s 50 a month with $375 transaction fee. If the broker is a good one they’ll take care of you

  5. Mr. Miles,
Thank you for all the hard and intelligent work you provide, not just to your real estate clients but to the public as well.
I have been seriously considering this field to start my career path and your videos have been a major resource for research. I have someone suggest to me to start in leasing before getting my license to get my "feet wet", would respect any advise you could give on that topic! Thank you!
Also, you're rocking that light olive sport coat very well (NH)

  6. I am signed with a flat fee broker after leaving KW. The transition has worked well because I like the fact I can brand my services and not be charged unnecessary monthly fees if I don't close a transaction. The flat fee broker provides resources, online tools and is very active if you have questions. The only downside is not having an office in my area. I rent a space when needed to meet clients. But sometimes it's more cost effective to take a client out for lunch instead. Clients like free lunch.

  7. That sounds a lot like exp I‘m a new agent and I’m really thinking about trying out exp how do you feel about it .The Real Estate community appreciate thank you .

  8. 2 things. 1. I’m obsessed with your blazer! Number 2, I just signed with a flat fee yesterday, homesmart. But, I feel as though it will be an amazing fit for me! Tradings, up to date technology, and I’m super excited for the mentor I received. I’m happy with my choice. But I did go back n fourth for a VERY long time between them and a bigger brokerage such as century 21. Regardless where you hang your license, no one will do the work for you for might as well get to keep (basically) all your money lol.

  9. I’m currently at a flat fee brokerage and I like it. I was with KW for almost 2 years and all of the knowledge I received there, prepared me for going to a brokerage that doesn’t offer as much training. But I agree, that would definitely not be the place to go as soon as you get your license. Get all the training you can first no matter what the split is & then move on once you feel comfortable.
